High quality, nutrient rich oils are so beneficial for healthy glowing skin. Here are some common queries about Oils.
Q1. Can I use Oils if my skin type is Oily/Combination?
A1. Pure plant-derived oils helps maintain and regulate healthy PH levels in the skin
Using an oil cleanser: Oil is lipophilic; which means oil dissolves in oil, because oil is insoluble in water (without a surfactant), it won’t affect the pH level of your skin and won't strip the skin of its natural oils. This is why it makes a healthy skin choice. By using an oil cleanser you dislodge dirt and makeup from the skin without removing the sebum from your sebaceous glands and the acid mantle that protects your skin.
When you use soaps/surfactants, that have a high PH level you wash away both the dirt that’s clogging your pores and the oil that protects it. This means you diminish the natural protection for your skin, which therefore results in irregular sebum production.
Using a facial Oil: We have all heard of essential fatty acids and how vital they are in maintaining a youthful, healthy appearance. Well these essential fatty acids are naturally found in abundance in many plant based oils. Our skin is actually able to effectively benefit from topically applied essential fatty acids, such as oleic acid and linoleic acid, they help not only to support the production of collagen and elastin but also provide moisturisation.
In addition quality oils are also packed with many nutrients, which are essential for healthy, beautiful skin. Ingredients such as Argan, Rosehip, Seabuckthorn, Acai, Hemp Seed, Kiwi seed & Evening Primrose all contain many vitamins and minerals including; Vitamin A, C & E, B1, B2, B3 & Zinc just to name a few. Vitamins such as these help with cell rejuvenation, elasticity, re-conditioning and softening, enriching complexion and preserving glow.

Q2. Are all Facial Oils the same?
A2. No, definitely not.
Choosing quality grade oils provides you with nutrient rich authentic to nature ingredients. Choosing an oil with the least processing method will retain the highest level of nutrients. This is why we choose to use minimal refining methods for our ingredients and always choose Cold-pressed Unrefined, Certified Organic & Virgin Oils.
High quality facial oils are pure and free from any nasty chemicals, they don't use mineral oils, binders or fillers. This way you are receiving the concentrated vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants your skin needs to help keep it nourished and protected.
Q3. Which facial oil should I choose for my skin type?
A3. First you need to understand your skin type and go from here. Oily, Dry, Mature, Combination, Acne prone.
Your skin will change for the better once you start using oils, as it will start receiving many vital nutrients it has possibly been missing out on. The change in your skin will vary between person to person, however I suggest giving your skin ample time to adjust.
As a guide if you suffer acne or have an oilier skin type, you want to choose an oil that has a comedogenic rating of 0. Also choosing an oil with higher amounts of linoleic acid aids in reducing clogged pores and won't be as heavy on the skin. If your skin is on the drier side you will be choosing oils with higher amounts of Oleic acid, which will be richer and more nourishing.
